Fountains Abbey at Christmas
We went to Fountains Abbey last Sunday where the Abbey ruins were floodlit in wonderful coloured lights. It was a pretty dull miserable day but it still felt quite magical. If you've never been to Fountains Abbey and get the chance to go, I would highly recommend a visit. We had mulled wine but sadly had missed the carol concert.

You have no idea how jealous I am that you can visit so much history ;) Heheh, the oldest buildings in Australia are less than 200 years old.
