I got bitten on my leg 2 1/2 weeks ago whilst at work. It was very painful and within minutes it was bright red. The swelling and redness never really went down and got worse and eventually I had to go to the Doctors who put me on a weeks course of antibiotics!!! My hubby took two photos with his mobile phone - sorry about the state of my leg as I hadn't been able to re-do my fake tan and my ankle was really swollen and puffy too!!! I am on my 5th day of antibiotics and it is still very painful and poor me is feeling quite sickly. I have no idea what bit me!

We went up to Glasgow recently. We were celebrating our Silver Wedding Anniversary and my aunt had invited the family round for dinner.
We had a great time and great food and lots to drink! I must have had too much wine because I mentioned two things that I have always wanted to do - one is to walk across the Forth Road Bridge and the other was to complete the Great North Run!!!! Bear in mind that I still have approximately 3 ½ stone to lose and have arthritis and Joint Hypermobility Syndrome !!!!
One of my cousins who runs marathons said he would be more than happy to do the Great North Run with me in 2011 as this year is full. As for walking the Forth Road Bridge six of us are going to walk across this – two of my cousins and their wives and hubby and me possibly at the end of May!! To cut a long story short I decided that I might have to walk the Great North Run or jog/walk. Then my hubby, bless him, has decided he is going to do it with me as it's next year and that gives us more time to get fit ! Anyway I have started by marking out 3 circuits – short, medium and long (how simple is that system?!)
Anyway last night my hubby came home with a little present for me – 1/12 scale trainers! These are going to go in the hall next to the front door in my dolls house.
Haven't been on for a while because of my awful job and just realised that I have two new followers - hello!! Hope I didn't just overlook you!
- Dales Dreams - who has a lovely blog and makes the most beautiful items
- Tink - a lovely feminine blog with great music and another talented miniaturist

I bought these 1:12 scale sunflowers when I was on holiday. I intend to revamp the basement garden of my house and thought that these would add height and colour. I've have big plans for the garden and then have to keep reminding myself that is only a small space!!! It really lacks colour though. I am also going to try some of the Bonnie Lavish kits after seeing them on Une Petite Folie's blog - they look amazing. I have also painted up some more ivy and intend to put that against a trellis.

Hope everyone has a lovely Easter. The weather today has been like a spring day and always makes me think of daffodils so here's an excerpt from William Wordsworth:
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden Daffodils
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze
